aug 30 - hey..we are off. bad start..had problems with the brake lights on towed jeep. so after an hour of trying we drove to Ridgeland and got a mechanic to fix the problem..then it was 11:20 and we're just starting out. but no other problems and we are just outside of Fancy Gap, VA. and...its still daylight! stay tuned...

Aug 27 - sorry no post yesterday we were watching Irene go by us..just bouts of wind and rain, sunny today. We still plan on leaving Tues Aug 30 and head for Fancy Gap, NC. Bub has been at the RV fixing, cleaning, checking, etc. for days now. :)

Aug 24, 2011 - no go today as hurricane Irene is missing SC and hitting NC, NY, MA & ME, supposedly. We're sitting tight until we get clearance on the weather. Bub is working hard to get RV in shape to travel. I am stocking shelves with food in case we get lost in the wild!

 It's Tuesday August 23, 2011, Rving begins next week...unless Irene hits us sooner. Then, we'll take off early. We'll keep you all informed of our whereabouts...
